As president and owner of Medallion Pool Co. Inc., Mark Dorsey brings his passion for sound design, creativity and construction to bear on some of the most complex and stunning outdoor living areas. From natural water features to pools, outdoor kitchens and entertainment features that blend seamlessly with the architecture and surrounding landscape, Mark and their team at Medallion offer complete, turn-key design-build services. As a licensed Professional Engineer and North Carolina Licensed Contractor with 20 years in design-build construction and civil consulting, he specializes in sustainable, innovative and industry-first design in water shapes of all kinds including pools, spas and water features. Uniquely qualified in the disciplines of creative architecture, mechanical systems, hydraulics and structural design, he offers clients a design-build solution to achieve superior results. Mark and his team’s approach to project management ensure the client’s needs and desires come first. The simplified flow of client communication and “take charge” responsibility delivers a product of unsurpassed quality, on time and on budget.
Mark is a member of the Master Pools Guild, a global network of elite custom pool craftsmen who share their creative ideas, construction techniques and technology to build the finest pools in the world. He served as a design judge for the Guild in 2010/11 with over 500 national and international entries. He has served on the Guild’s Board of Directors. As of 2018 he became a registered GENESIS Society of Watershape Designer and in 2020 became one of their instructors.
